ACACIA SUBSIDIARIES ENTER INTO LICENSE

Newport Beach, CA. – (BUSINESS WIRE) January 2, 2008 – Acacia Research Corporation (Nasdaq: ACTG) announced today that its subsidiaries New Medium LLC, and IP Innovation LLC, have entered into a license agreement with Evertz Technologies Limited covering patents that apply to Audio/Video Synchronization and Image Resolution Enhancement technologies.

 

The licensed technologies generally relate to methods for synchronizing audio/video signals and methods for the modification of a video or printed display to improve the perceived image quality beyond the basic pixel resolution of the display.
